Have you seen those...

advertisements that try to look like an article from the magazine you are reading? The advertisers try to slip it in there and gain credibility by attaching itself to the magazine. Well, I recently saw one in the latest issue of FHM. It was for the Army. That got me thinking. I can understand this use for things like watches, deoderant, and such, but I think it is a bad idea to use this for the Army. The reason being, the only people that are going to respond to this advertisement (if it works properly) and sign up for the Army are going to be the ones that fell for the trick. "Oh sweet, I saw this article in FHM about the Army, it seems pretty awesome." So basically, the Army is getting all the retards that don't realize it is an ad. But then again, I suppose it is for the best.

dude, those people aren't even retarded. They are extra double retards for giving something credible for having read it in FHM, a magazine that exists FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF ADVERTISING!

One can safely assume that everything in those magazines is an advertisement for something, so to fall for a baldfaced advertisement masquerading as a normal article in a magazine where everything is implicitly an advertisement is just....indescribably stupid.

True...

Ok, I may be able to give you that, but I don't know where else I can find pictures of women in that terrific gray area between a Victoria's Secret Catalogue and soft-core pornography.

Re: True...

Oh dude, by no means was I saying they weren't fun to peruse. Just that the fact that anyone who falls for any of the advertisement/stories in them must be drunk or concussed.
